How To Invest With 500 or Less

By Matthew Frankel (TMFMathGuy)

If you want to get started investing but don’t have a ton of money to invest, don’t let that fact discourage you. While it’s true that you need at least a few thousand dollars to create a properly diversified portfolio of individual stocks, here are three ways you could start investing for your future today with just $500 or even less.

Warren Buffett’s favorite investment

It may surprise you, coming from one of the most highly regarded stock pickers of all time, that Warren Buffett believes that the best investment most Americans can make are low-cost index funds, and the exchange-traded fund (ETF) variety is a great way for investors without a ton of capital to get started. Buffett particularly loves S&P 500 index funds as a bet on American business, but there are low-cost ETFs available for all sorts of investment objectives and risk tolerances.

What’s more, you can typically avoid paying trading commissions on ETFs, either by investing directly through the ETF’s issuing company (like Vanguard) or by using a broker who offers commission-free ETFs. As a personal example, I invest through TD Ameritrade, and as of this writing, there are over 100 commission-free ETFs to choose from (enrollment is required).

As an example, let’s say that I want to invest in the Vanguard Mid-Cap Growth Index Fund ETF(NYSEMKT: VOT), my personal favorite mid-cap growth ETF, which trades for just under $119 per share as I write this and is on my broker’s commission-free list. I could take my $500, buy four shares of the fund for $476, and not pay a dime in commissions. As time goes on and I want to add more to my portfolio, all I need is enough money to buy a single share of this or another ETF.

Buy a mutual fund

Another option is to invest in a mutual fund. Many mutual funds have relatively high minimum investments, but there are plenty that don’t. A quick search on TD Ameritrade shows over 400 mutual funds with no transaction fees that have minimum initial investment requirements of $500 or less. American Funds and TIAA-CREF are good examples of companies with a lot of low-minimum mutual funds.

In addition, many mutual funds with larger minimum investment requirements will waive the minimum if you agree to make monthly investments. This not only allows you to get your money into a mutual fund you otherwise wouldn’t be allowed to invest in, but can automate the process of investing a little at a time, which can help your nest egg build faster. Artisan Partners is a company that has no minimum investment requirement if you agree to automatic investing, whereas their account minimum is usually $1,000 per fund.

Pay off high-interest credit card debt

This may not sound like an “investment,” but hear me out. American households have about $1 trillion of credit card debt, and the average credit card interest rate is about 15%. It is simply not a smart idea to invest your money while you have high-interest debt hanging over your head.

Think about it this way. Historically, the S&P 500 returns about 9%-10% per year, on average. So, if you invest your $500, you can reasonably expect it to earn you about $50 over the course of a year. Meanwhile, if you have $500 in credit card debt at 15%, it costs you $75 annually just to maintain the debt. So, even if your investment earns 10%, you’re still setting yourself up to lose$25.

This is a simplified example, but my point is that if you have high-interest credit card debt, that may be the best use of your extra cash until it’s under control.

How To Make Your first Affiliate sale on Pinterest

How to make money using affiliate links on Pinterest

By seasidesundays.com

Did you know that you can create a passive income stream without even writing a single blog post? Affiliate marketing is truly the easiest way to jumpstart your income if you are just starting out in the blogging world.

If you are like me and love scouring the income reports on Pinterest, you have probably noticed that affiliates make up the bulk of revenue for most bloggers.

Did you also know that you can add affiliate links directly to Pinterest without writing a single piece of copy?

This page contains affiliate links meaning I earn a commission if you use those links. I only recommend brands I use and trust.

Once I discovered this, I became really interested in the ins and outs of Pinterest affiliate links and read every article I could find. I tried a few different methods but to be honest it wasn’t until I came across the How to Make Your First Affiliate Sale Ebook by Elise at House of Brazen Blog that it all fell into place for me.

Elise made her first affiliate sale within 24 hours of implementing her strategy and although I was skeptical, I couldn’t believe the jump in my affiliate sales and traffic as soon as I followed her instructions to the letter.

When I didn’t make my first sale within 24 hours, I was a bit disappointed but within two weeks, I was making affiliate sales almost every day. I still can’t believe it!

For those new to this form of marketing, let’s break down some of the basics of using affiliates on Pinterest:

What is affiliate marketing?

It seems like a new and trendy way of making income online but in fact, it’s been around for decades. Any sales person who makes a “cut” or commission from selling a product is, in a sense, an affiliate for said product.

In essence, the affiliate is acting as the agent or representative of the product or company they are selling. Think of travel agents, insurance salesmen or MLM direct sellers.

How does it work on Pinterest?

Since May last year, Pinterest has allowed pinners to add direct affiliate links to their pins instead of having to go through a blog. This means that you can market to the over 150 million active Pinterest users immediately! For free! Now that’s my kind of marketing.

Without realizing it, you have probably already clicked on an affiliate link for a cute sweater or Etsy printable. Those are affiliate links. Here is an example from my board “Dream Nursery“:

You can see that the link to this pin is from shareasale.com. If you are new to affiliate marketing they are a great place to start because they work with tons of retailers such as WayfairJanie and Jack and Modcloth.

When someone clicks on an affiliate link from Pinterest they are redirected to the merchant and the pin owner (you!) receives a commission for each sale.

Top affiliate networks to join today

A word about Amazon Associates affiliate links

I have seen a lot of conflicting information about whether or not you can use Amazon links on Pinterest. Some sources say that it is fine as long as you add Pinterest to your Amazon profile under ” website and mobile app links”.

To be honest, I see Amazon affiliate pins all the time when I’m browsing Pinterest but personally, I err on the side of caution and do not use them.

For me, it is just not worth losing my Associates account for a few sales plus the cookie is so short on Amazon (24 hours) that it is not a great converter for me anyway.

Bottom line: Use Amazon Links at your own risk.

What kinds of things could I link?

Really, anything and everything! Have a look at your own boards and see what affiliate links you have already pinned without realizing it. For me, the most popular were clothes and printables followed by e-books on subjects I want to learn about. Baby items are also really popular.

Once you have found some products you are interested in, check out shareasale.com or the other awesome networks in my list of the top paying affiliate networks  and get linking.

Tip on promoting ebooks

Personally, I find ebooks are a great thing to promote as an affiliate on Pinterest because the ebook author often has a landing page that “sells” the product once the pin has been clicked on. If you have taken some courses or bought some ebooks and want to promote them, it’s worth seeing if there is an affiliate program you can join.

Disclosures on Pinterest

Make sure to disclose on any and all pins that you are acting as an affiliate.

You can do this in the pin description by adding #afflink or #affiliate as you can see on my pin above. Failure to do this can result in you being banned from Pinterest or worse, fines and legal action.

I have noticed that, when it comes to courses and ebooks, most people do not disclose that it is a direct affiliate link, perhaps because of the landing page. I would rather be 100% covered and I recommend that you do add a disclosure.

Don’t be spammy

No one wants to be bombarded with sales pitches on Pinterest so make sure to stay true to the essence of the site.

Pinterest users are searching for inspiration, ideas, and ways to improve their lives. In that vein, remember to pin other people’s stuff and use affiliate links sparingly but effectively.

This seems to good to be true?

It really is as simple as that but to be honest, just slapping some pins with affiliate links onto your boards won’t make you rich. Trust me, I tried!  They say “build it and they will come”.

This is true but you do need to know how to build “it” to be effective.

This is where the How to Make your first affiliate sale in 24 hours ebook really came in for me.

The techniques to create, brand and market affiliate links in the book are simple but effective.  It’s stunningly easy once you know what to do and it really works. Elise shows you exactly how to create affiliate pins that go viral. She also demonstrates how she shared her pins to create a buzz.

You don’t need a pin scheduler to make it work.

You can replicate the method to every affiliate link thus creating many passive streams of income, without a single blog post!

Now if you are wondering whether to purchase the ebook, I totally get it.  It took me a month to decide to buy it. I tried to do my own affiliate links on Pinterest in the meantime but nothing really stuck.

I finally bought the book because I wanted to get serious about my lack of affiliate sales. The book costs $25 which I think is a great value for the information and tutorial included.

It’s easy to make back the money once your affiliate links are up and running.  If you are interested in seeing more about what the book includes,  check out Elise’s page at this link: Affiliate Sale in 24 hours e-book.

If you are serious about increasing your affiliate sales and want to know more about harnessing the power of Pinterest, I think the book is a great investment.

If you give the techniques a go, let me know how affiliate works out for you and any questions you have, I would love to help you give your sales a boost.

Top Five Tips on How to Earn an Extra $500 a Month

Top Five Tips on How to Earn an Extra $500 a Month

What does one do with an additional $500 each month? I, in my humble opinion, will save 50% ($250), step out to dine a few extra times per month ( $100), and put the remaining amount ($150) towards debt.

Here are top 5 ways you can earn an additional $500 in a month. Combine them all for an extra $ 2,500!

TOP 5 WAYS TO MAKE AN EXTRA $500 A MONTH

  1. TAKE ONLINE SURVEYS

Making surveys, along with utilizing money-saving tools (below), will earn you an additional $500 a month put together! Companies pay you not just to do surveys, but also check emails, watch video clips and more. I prefer taking them when I’m watching TV rather than scrolling mindlessly through social media.

My favourite survey companies are:

o    American Consumer Opinion

o    Swagbucks

o    Opinion Outpost

o    Pinecone Research <- each $3/survey!

Obtain points with all of these ONLY for opting in! Incredibly easy and very fun!!

I recommend you sign up for them all to boost your earnings every month!

Money-saving tools (plus earn $20 right NOW!)

Two othe tools I use to earn money are Ebates and Ibotta. With Ebates, you receive cash back for business-related expenses online. If you shop online once per month, Ebates is a MUST!!! The bucks increase fast, and you’ll gain a $10 gift card for signing up!

Ibotta is an amazing app in which you check in your voucher once you shop and earn cash back! You can make use of it at Walmart, Target, any grocery store, and more. I normally get $3-$5 back per shopping tour. It only requires just a minute to scan in your receipt and you can make extra cash each and every period you shop! Register and earn $10 swiftly!

  1. WRITE 10 FREELANCE BLOG POSTS AT $50 EACH

I used to freelance on a regular basis and would personally make between $25/article to $600+/article. A standard to minimal rate is $50/article, which is what first-timers may attempt to earn.

For individuals who write 10 each month ( just 2-3 a week), you could make an additional $500. One $50 article can normally be written in about an hour, which means one can work a few hours on a Saturday morning and knock them all out or break it up and work for one hour, three nights in a week. Easy peasy.

To take the first step on freelancing, check out my best tips for beginning freelance writers.

Not keen on writing? How about working as a virtual assistant? Virtual assistants carry out a number of projects for bloggers and business owners, such as replying to emails, drafting blog posts, creating pictures, arranging posts on social media, etc.

The average VA (virtual assistant) earns $35-$ 50/hour!

If you wish to start out as a virtual assistant and make a career out of this side hustle, I strongly recommend 30 Days of Less to Virtual Assistant Success. In the course, you will understand precisely what it takes to be a VA, how to get clients, how to charge higher, how to expand your business, and many more! The price would gradually increase next year so act now!

  1. OPEN A BLOG – PLACE ADS ON YOUR SITE AND DO A SPONSORED POST

Blogging is the best way to easily make money online! Last month I made over $2,000 and spent  10 hours on my blog. It takes time to build and expand, thus, don’t count on making $500 on your first month.

Here’s my FREE guide on how to set up a blog in three simple steps! >>

You can certainly earn $500 monthly within few months of blogging!

There are basically two simple methods to achieve that: Place ADS on your website (Google Adsense is perfect for a beginner!) and write a sponsored post. A sponsored post is when a company pays you to write a review of their product/service or talk about their brand name within your post.

I have firms emailing me with regards to sponsored posts, but you could also email them! You can even sign up with companies which will connect you to sponsorship possibilities. Look into Massive Sway, Clever Girls, and Linqia.

I strongly recommend starting your blog via Bluehost. Through my link, you’ll get a substantial discount at just $2 .95/month.

  1. BECOME A PINTEREST, VIRTUAL ASSISTANT

A Pinterest virtual assistant is someone that assist bloggers and business owners supervise their Pinterest accounts. The thing is, Pinterest is a search engine (like Google), not simply a social media platform. Bloggers who make use of Pinterest properly can get tens of thousands of page views every month.

But, a lot of bloggers as well as business owners are unaware of Pinterest or have no desire/time to exploit the platform effectively.

That’s the place you come in.

Master Pinterest, promote your services and create your own done-at-home business that pays incredibly well ( average $35-$50/hour).

If you’re not a Pinterest pro, you have two options:

  1. Start your own blog and teach yourself how to use Pinterest. This is an outstanding option as, probably, your blog will end up making profits, also! Two tools I would recommend for mastering Pinterest are Tailwind (a scheduling tool so you don’t have to manually pin for several hours per day) and Pinterest Presence. Pinterest Presence is a course that will educate you literally all you need to learn about Pinterest. It is updated constantly, then after you buy the course you get updates for life totally free!
  2. Enrol in Become a Pinterest VA Today! If you don’t intend to learn Pinterest by creating your own blog, you definitely need to enrol in becoming a Pinterest VA Today! This course will show you just how to get started with your very own Pinterest VA business – starting from mastering the platform, getting clients, expanding your business, the amount to charge, and more. The course is usually accessible a few times (April 2018 is the next enrollment!), so hop on the waitlist here so you don’t miss out!
  3. RUN FACEBOOK ADS FOR BLOGGERS AND SMALL BUSINESS OWNERS

Are you aware you can earn $1000-$2000 a month in just a few hours per week by running Facebook ads for bloggers as well as business owners?

This is a brand new, up-and-coming side hustle and this is the time to take full advantage of it. If you don’t understand how to basically set up, run and manage Facebook ads, check out this Facebook Ads Course. The course is starting later this week, so now is your opportunity to hop on the waitlist.

The course is a great investment, and you will undeniably make your money back and more. If you decide to change a career now, you’d certainly need to go back to college, or at the very least take a course and get certified. Running an online business is no different. You NEED to be educated in order to achieve success.

The Facebook Ads Course will explain to you exactly how to establish ads for clients, run them and manage them. This will also explain to you how to source for clients and the amount to charge. The course was opened up a few months ago for the very first time, and many students are making $3000-$4000 a month by running Facebook ads for businesses! Insane, right?! This isn’t just a “side hustle,” but can genuinely replace your full-time earnings when you work hard and put in the time!

BONUS: SAVE $500 A MONTH

Lastly, why not aspire to save $500 a month? The best method to save $500 is to lessen your monthly expenses.

Do you have student loans or credit card debt? If you do, you can refinance them through SoFi at a lesser rate and with easier terms. Based on your loan amount and also current interest rate, you can conveniently knock hundreds of dollars off of your existing payment.

And, if you get authorized for a refinance through SoFi, you’ll get a $100 bonus!

Other ways to save $500 a month include :

o    Cut cable ( ~$100/month )

o    Reduce grocery costs by $25/week ( ~$100/month )

o    Adjust your thermostat ( ~$75/month )

o    Meal plan every week ( ~$50/month )

o    Exercise at home rather than the fitness centre ( ~$75/month )

o    Refinance your mortgage to a lower rate

o    Have a “no-spend” month ( ~$200/month )

o    Do an at-home date night in preference to a sitter and going out ( ~$100/month )

14 passive income ideas for earning money as you sleep

By Tarun Mittal,

Money is important. Of that, there can be no doubt. If you don’t have enough for your basic needs, and a few necessary wants, there’s no chance of you being content or happy in life. Everyone knows this of course. In fact, the need for money is why most of us go to work. But it’s never really enough is it? There’s always some place we want to visit or some gadget that we want to buy but we can’t because of our barren bank accounts. So how do we get that extra bit of money that we’re always craving for? Leveraging the power of the internet to generate a steady stream of passive income is the answer.

14 passive income ideas for earning money as you sleep

Passive income is defined by Wikipedia as “income resulting from cash flow received on a regular basis, requiring minimal to no effort by the recipient to maintain it”. And while the ‘no effort’ part of the definition is very enticing, the truth is that generating passive income requires a massive amount of effort. And this effort needs to be exerted up front and then sustained for months, and maybe even years, until your venture starts returning profits. And even then, you’ll have to monitor your income streams to make sure it’s all going smoothly. It’s certainly not an easy endeavour, no matter what most people may tell you, and it requires an investment of something far more valuable than money: time. But if you are up for it, then here are 14 ideas that you can use to start earning passive income.

Affiliate and referral marketing

Affiliate and referral marketing involves driving sales for another business which then pays you a commission for each sale it acquires through your efforts. The Amazon Associates affiliate marketing program is one of the best options for people looking to earn money this way. You need set up a website with outbound links redirecting to products on Amazon (or another site that offers affiliate programs) and if a visitor from your site buys the product, then that business pays you a share of the amount spent.

Sell an eBook

Writing and publishing an eBook has become a widely popular means of earning passive income in recent years. eBooks on non-fiction topics like online marketing, business development, career advice, and the like are especially successful. While fiction eBooks are also good sellers, the market for them is much more competitive as compared to non-fiction ones. Once you’ve written an eBook, you can put it up for sale on platforms like Amazon’s Kindle Direct Publishing or Apple’s iTunes Connect.

Sell an audiobook

Audiobooks are witnessing a surge in popularity when compared to their text-based counterparts. If you have decided to write and publish an eBook, converting it into an audiobook requires little effort and is a great way to bolster your income. Amazon’s Audible ACX platform connects authors with producers who can turn their written work into professional grade audio. Once that’s done, the audiobooks are put up for sale on Audible and iTunes.

Compile research and how-to guides

Evergreen content, which is described as that SEO content which stays relevant for a long time after its initial publication, is a good way to generate income. Comprehensive research statistics and case studies, such as social media marketing trends for the last five years, and detailed how-to guides, such as a beginners guide to using Twitter for business, are always going to be sought after people who wouldn’t mind paying small amounts for access to the information.

Create an online educational course

Online learning platforms have become extremely popular in recent years with people using platforms like Coursera, Lynda, and Udemy for learning courses about their specific interests. If you are knowledgeable in any field, whether it’s web programming, photography or digital marketing, you can create a course on platforms like Udemy or Unacademy and earn money when users register for them.

Sell stock photos

If you happen to be a photography enthusiast, consider selling your photos to stock-image websites like Shutterstock, Alamy, and iStockPhoto. The demand for high quality pictures in commensurate with the competitiveness of this business. So, if you find a niche (such as landscape photography or business photography) and establish yourself as an expert in it on even one site, you can certainly earn a lot of money in your sleep.

Sell your designs and artwork

If you’re a graphic designer or even an amateur artist, there are plenty of sites which will pay you for sharing your artwork. Sites like Etsy, Zazzle, and The Souled Store allow people to add their designs to T-shirts, phone cases, mugs, posters, book covers, and more. If and when these products are bought, the sites then pay a commission to the contributing artist.

Build a website

Building a website still remains a viable way of earning passive income online despite it being such a competitive venture. Since the internet is saturated with blogs, an entertaining website featuring quizzes or games is a good alternate. Such websites are not too difficult to make and they are easy to promote on social media. They can attract visitors, who will spend a significant amount of time on the site, in droves. Once a site starts recording several thousand visits each day, use the Google AdSense system to start earning revenue through advertising while you relax.

Build an app

Building a smartphone or tablet app requires a fair amount of technical expertise, but it can pay off handsomely if successful. It doesn’t have to be particularly complex or chock-full of features either; a simple one that solves a problem or is entertaining enough to attract users works fine. You never know what may suddenly become popular. For example, the minimalist game Flappy Bird was such a craze that at one point its developer was earning $50,000 dollars a day through in-app advertising. Of course, expecting a success like that is foolhardy, but one can always hope.

Start a YouTube channel

A few people who started their own YouTube channel when the video-sharing site was in its nascent stage are now millionaires. Now that YouTube has become immensely popular with hordes of people running their own channels, making a million dollars is considerably more difficult, but earning a respectable sum of money is still possible. As always, you’ll need to find a niche that isn’t yet saturated and focus on making engaging videos around it. Once you start raking up views and subscriptions, the money will start flowing in with minimum effort on your part.

Start a podcast

People’s lives these days are so fast paced that multitasking has become the need of the hour. That explains why podcasts have suddenly become so popular; they allow people to get information or entertainment while they’re in the middle of commuting, working out, cooking, or something else. Podcasts are easier to create than YouTube videos and can be shared just as easily on iTunes. Just select a topic that you’re well-informed or passionate about, and start a podcast around it, it’s that simple.

Make low-risk investments

This venture requires both time and money, but it is certainly worth it. Making low-risk investments with your savings offers higher dividends than letting the money in the bank. While buying stocks in large corporations comes with a high degree of risk, mutual funds are relatively safer and less volatile. They also offer higher return-on-investment compared to fixed or recurring deposits made in banks.

Sell products on your blog

If you happen to have a blog that attracts a large, devoted viewer baseeach day, then selling branded products on it is an excellent way to make a little extra money. Things like t-shirts, posters, mugs, and bags that feature your brand name, or some witty copy that your niche may find attractive, will definitely find buyers on your site. You can also link up with affiliate marketers to drive more sales if the business seems to be working out.

Rent out your real estate

If you happen to own a home, apartment, or office space, you have a great source for generating passive income at your fingertips. Peer-to-peer property rental site Airbnb has made it extremely easy for real estate owners to make extra money by renting out their homes to guests for short durations. If you’re uncomfortable with such a model, you can also use sites like NestAway to find tenants for your property without having to deal with brokers.

Turning any of these ideas into a success story will take a large amount of time and effort. And even then, the chances of them succeeding are small. But if they do succeed, then all the work you put it in will be worth it, and that should be motivation enough.

10 Super Easy Ways To Make Money Online In 2018

10 Super Easy Ways To Make Money Online in 2018

Follow Us On Instagram @acecashflow!

By howtomakemoneyonlinehome.com
Whether you have your own blog or website it can be astonishingly easy to make money online, so much so, you don’t necessarily need either.Listed below are excellent ideas to make money online, for a full-time income or just to give you a little extra money each month.

Make Money Online Idea #1: Make a YouTube Channel
I published my first video on my YouTube channel on October 6th, 2016. It was so crappy. It was a video of me traveling to Portugal to celebrate the success of my first online business idea. The entire trip was recorded from my iPhone.

It took 6 months before I made my first $1 from YouTube.

Those 6 months were brutal. The only people that were watching my videos was my mom and dad. And the entire process just felt like a waste of time.

There were many times that I just wanted to call it quits and to focus on something that made me more money for the time I was putting into it. But luckily, I continued to pump out more and more videos.

After a year of consistently publishing 2-3 videos a week, I now make an extra $50-$80/day simply by the ads that run before my video is played.

The reason why I love this online business idea is because these videos will last forever. And the views that I receive on a daily basis still remain consistent even if I don’t post videos for a while.

Here is how this business idea makes money:

Google pays you to run ads on your videos
Affiliate sales by recommending products in the description
Driving the traffic to your blog (most recommended)
Once you have a good amount of videos up, YouTube can provide constant flow of traffic to your affiliate offers and products or services. Its this constant flow that gives you the ability to make money in your sleep.

Here’s how I got started:

Research the niche that you want to get into
Find videos with high views and low subscribers
Make 10-15 videos about those similar topics
Once you have those corner stone videos getting views from being shown in the related videos on the similar videos you modeled, consistently pump out at least 2-3 videos a week
Watch your subscribers slowly grow over time
This is the exact process I used to go from zero subscribers to now around 250-500 subscribers a day.

Make Money Online Idea #2: Blogging
As awesome as YouTube is, blogging is far more powerful. Why is that you ask?

Well for one, when people are viewing your YouTube videos, you technically do not own any of those viewers; YouTube does. In most cases it’s no problem, but all it takes is one mistake with YouTube’s terms & conditions and you’re out of a business.

Blogging is different. You are the one that owns all the traffic that comes to your site. Meaning you will always be in business as long as you focus on providing value.

I didn’t start focusing on this business idea until the beginning of 2017.

All I regret is one thing: I wish I would have started sooner.

Not only has blogging allowed me to help impact more people, it has also given me the ability to showcase all of my best resources for teaching people how to make money online in one place.

When I first started blogging, I was not computer savvy at all and had no idea how to create a blog. But luckily, Bluehost (the hosting service that mikevestil.com was initially built on) helped guide me throughout the entire process, and I had my blog up and running in no more than 10 minutes.

1. Blogging – naturally this is my first suggestion and can be very lucrative. It does require you to create a blog, build on the content for a few months in order to generate followers and visitors, encouraging search engines and content readers to visit and buy from advertisements or your own uploaded information documents

2. Create your own online store – online businesses such as eBay, Amazon and Zazzle provide you with the tools to create your own online store, offering products for sale, often without the need to store yourself as you can advertise products, prior to purchase, for a higher price, arranging despatch and delivery from your supplier direct to the customer

3. Online Assistant roles – there are various websites which advertise admin and data entry type jobs where you provide a typing, translation or proofreading service for an hourly rate, set fee or negotiated amount without you having to leave your front room. The requirements are set out in the job advert and you then offer your services to the advertiser

4. Write books, articles or instructions/courses – if you have story ideas, a skill that you can teach others or want to provide advice on a specific subject, why not write your own material. If you can tell someone or demonstrate something it is possible to turn this into an eBook, upload onto a marketplace and sell this to others.

5. Create YouTube video tutorials – similarly, instead of getting this in writing, why not record yourself, a presentation or screen capture video, upload onto YouTube and advertise your skills. Placing advertisements alongside this can generate a tidy income. Also advertising your own website or blog, eBook or products for sale.

Make Money Online Idea #3: Sell an Ebook
So after my initial success, I began traveling the world. The entire time I was traveling, I wrote down stories on my blog on what happened, the things I’ve seen, and the lessons I’ve learned.

Once I had enough content, I went over to Kindle and uploaded all of the content on there. I then went to Fiverr.com and had someone make me a book cover for only $5. That was the birth of The Lazy Man’s Guide to Living the Good Life.

One of the benefits of creating a blog is that you can monetize all the material on it in a more organized fashion in the form of a book.

For those that love the 4 Hour Work Week by Tim Ferriss, all that book was was a compilation of all of the old blog posts on Tim Ferris’ blog.

I ended up following his footsteps.

Even though my sales suck compare to the 4 Hour Work Week, I am still able to get an extra $100 – $200/ month profit without investing any more time into it.

Most people would see this as pennies compared to the other money making ideas out there, but the power of writing books is that it will exist forever.

This is income that has consistently been coming in and it’s not going anywhere.

And ever since I moved to Chiang Mai, Thailand to focus on my YouTube channel and my journey towards financial freedom, it’s enough to pay for my fully furnished apartment while I run around Asia building my personal brand.

Here is the action steps you can do to get started:

Create a blog
Document your entire journey to building your first online business from any of these ideas on this blog post
Naturally people will find you from the search engines and begin following your story
After you get your first major success, package all of your blog posts into an eBook and paperback book for free on Amazon Kindle
The visitors of your blog will naturally see your book
They will end up buying it because of the value and inspiration that you have already provided to them
I never thought in a million years that I would become “an author.” I was a C+ writer in high school at best. But there is this crazy feeling you get once you finish a book. You begin to realize that the book will last forever long after you’re gone. And that it has the power to impact millions, leaving a legacy that you can be proud of.

The only question now is what legacy will you be leaving behind when you are gone?

Make Money Online Idea #4: Sell a Course
So if you focused your attention on building up a YouTube brand and a blog, naturally people will want to learn directly from you. They will thank you for all the free content that you have given them, and they’ll tell you how it was all life changing.

I remember when I got my first thank you email or snapchat message of how my free content on my blog and YouTube channel had helped someone make their first $100 online. It was mind blowing. I didn’t know how much of an impact I was actually having on people.

And these people that you have helped get initial success..

They will want more.

When I first got to this point, I tried helping everyone one on one as much as I could. But as my brand grew, I started to lose my time because I couldn’t help thousands of people personally every single day.

So to make things easier for myself and for everyone else, I ended up making a course. I realized that every single person I taught, I taught the exact same thing. So if I could organize them all into a video screen share tutorial, then it would give me the ability to impact more people.

6. Sell your own photographs – everyone today has a digital camera and there are many superb photographs taken every day. It was recently reported that there have been more photographs taken this year since then ever before. Everyone takes selfies, spontaneous photographs as well as those who do this for a living. Get your photographs uploaded to a stock photography site and earn an income every time someone buys one.

7. Affiliate marketing – this involves you advertising for sale other peoples’ products and, on making a sale, receiving a commission for that sale from the owner of the product. This can involve the creation of a website and advertising on this or creating advertisements, placing these on others’ websites to generate interest and hopefully a sale.

8. Create and sell unique items – jewellery for example. Other items include paintings, furniture, clothing, ornaments and so on. Once created, advertised on your own or others’ online shops for sale and generate an income. These can also be uploaded for sale on eBay, Amazon and other similar marketplaces.

9. Teach online – if you have a skill, specific expertise in a subject or have a hobby at which you excel, why not create a website offering hints, tips and advice. You can then go on to sell tutorials in eBook, video or audio formats.

10. Market research – there are numerous companies who pay website visitors to review products, websites and information sites and provide feedback and comments. This is then used by that company to advise their clients, make improvements or select specific products which perform well. payments from these companies vary from discount vouchers, point collection and turn this into cash or free products in return.

Make Money Online Idea #5: Affiliate Marketing
Now as your brand grows because of the amount of value you provide, your audience will begin asking for more products that have helped you out.

For example for me, people wanted to know the exact softwares I was using to run my business.

The two major ones that I use are Shopify for anything eCommerce related and Clickfunnels for anything sales funnels related.

And since these two had affiliate programs, I would get a commission whenever I would recommend these products.

I would have recommended these products regardless. But with affiliate marketing, I get paid to share the products that I personally love using.

Make Money Online Idea #5: Product Sales Funnels
Product sales funnels are amazing. What are they? In essence, they give you the ability to sell more shit.

Plain and simple.

Product sales funnels have these things called up sells, down sells, cross sells, all of these increase the lifetime value of a customer.

I highly recommend product sales funnels because they are the most efficient in making high revenues with low spend on advertising.

How I made $3700 in my first 2 months Blogging

I had been doing tons and tons of research on how to get started with blogging. A few months ago I decided to go ahead and give it a shot. My experience was absolutely phenomenal!

After weeks of researching online how to get started, I finally drilled down on the niche I was going to talk about on my website. To be honest, I really didn’t know what to expect. I just knew I wanted to make some money talking about what I loved, musical Instruments.

But something extraordinary happened. I actually made money, $3,649.85 to be exact, in over 2 months.

I’ll have you know that I did have a bit of money saved up to get started. So, by no means was I empty handed. By following some very specific principles from the book “The Richest Man In Babylon,” I was able to save quite a bit of money before I jumped in. My whole life and way of thinking about money changed after reading that book!

Make sure to get yourself a copy and read it!

In addition to teaching solid financial principles, the book talks about paying yourself first. And that was the thing that caught my attention. Pay yourself first.

Well, that’s what I did from my earnings teaching saxophone and teaching flute. I was able to save at least $1000 to get started!

I took the savings and hired everyone, from content writers to web designers and SEO research specialists.

So, here it is!

How I Made $3700.

Net earnings by the way:)

1. I leveraged Google Adsense

After finally getting my blog approved by the google AdSense team, I added their contextual links onto my site. Well, several sites! I worked extensively to create highly targeted and useful sites full of great content.

For those of you who don’t know what google AdSense is: Google AdSense has advertisers that will bid to put ads on your blog. If someone were to click on the ad, you’d be paid for that click.

2. I Jumped into Affiliate Marketing

Affiliate marketing, commonly known as referral marketing, is when you promote products belonging to other companies. If someone purchases the product from the link on your website, you’d get paid a percentage of the sale, anywhere from 4 to even 50% of the total sale. One of my sites was promoting something valued at about $2500. I made 10% each time the product was purchased!

Now I’ll admit, I promoted the site using paid advertisement with Bing. I also had sponsored ads going on Facebook as well. But these ads were extremely targeted, and customers were looking for the product I promoted.

3. I Built a Dedicated Audience

Before I launched my site, I already had people lined up to visit it. I started with telling my friends and family about the site I was building. Trust me on this, starting with people you already know is a good way to get a head start with traffic. I built a list of people via social media that might be interested in the products I was promoting.

By the time I launched, I was already getting tons and tons of traffic to my site from friends and social media. That, coupled with the sponsored ads I had going on various social media platforms, put my site in a good place in Google’s eyes. But still, Google wasn’t the main source of my traffic. Which brings us to my next tool.

4. I leveraged Email Marketing

I had email signups on all my blogs. Once I built a large enough list, I sent emails out once a week! The emails were probably the largest source of my traffic as Google still took more than a month to start ranking many of my sites. My emails consisted of highly targeted, high value content for the users, and they went out consistently every week.

5. I Used Targeted Sponsored ads

I would say that this was my first choice for traffic since I knew my SEO efforts would take some time to bear fruits. With the leverage from my savings, I was able to get immediate traffic to my website. With the help of tools like Buzz sumo, I was able to drill down on viral content to get ideas. I then created Facebook posts similar to those that had already gone viral within my niche.

But here’s the kicker, even though my posts were getting lots of traction without sponsoring the ads at first, I still created a budget and sponsored those posts with high engagement! This worked like a CHARM!

6. I Leveraged Almost All Social Media Platforms

You might be wondering, “Isn’t it best to focus on the few social media platforms that interest you?” Well, maybe. But there is a way to manage multiple social media accounts easily without pulling your hair out! And It wasn’t really that time consuming at all for me. Yes, it took time to set up the various social media pages at first, but after that I used tools like hoot suite to schedule posts to all of those sites.

And here’s the real formula:

  • The viral posts went out on all social media platforms.
  • All of those social media posts pointed directly to my blog.
  • Traffic from all of those platforms landed on my site, and in a Very Big Way!
  • Google saw this and rewarded me in the serps.

To Sum It Up

Affiliate Marketing was my highest earner in the first two months. Bringing in about $1700. Google AdSense came in second with close to $1100. The rest came from my own information products that were created and posted on my site. My products were also promoted in my email marketing campaign. The gross was much higher than $3700, but I just wanted to give you guys my ROI.

Now, I won’t say that this will work for everyone. Keep in mind that I started off with $1000 to use for marketing and content creation. But I still think anyone can do this and it really is pretty simple when you think about it! Blogging could be an excellent way to earn additional income if done properly!
